How To Create an Overlap Seam using 3M™ Extreme Sealing Tape
C.W. Hayden Co. How To Series
When you apply extreme sealing tape you might find you come to an end of a roll of tape. If you come to the end of a roll, you’ll need to do an overlap seam.
To do an overlap seam, follow the 3 simple steps below:
Step 1:
Place your new roll of tape approximately 3 inches over the end of your existing roll of tape.
Step 2:
Next roll it down with a hand roller, remove the protective liner strip and do a final roll down of the tape.
Step 3:
Finally, using a soft squeegee make sure to press the tape into the overlap. Now you’ve created a nice tight seam!
