It All Started With Twine

CW Hayden is named after our founder, Charles Winslow “Win” Hayden. He began his career in distribution in 1931 as a representative for a company that sold twine for wood products and kraft wrapping paper for woolen goods.

From the earliest days of his career, Hayden knew the secret to a successful business was treating his customers with genuine respect and letting them know their needs were paramount.

Hayden saw that his customer-focused approach was working, so he decided to start his own business. In 1948, the CW Hayden company was born.

Building A Strong Partnership With 3M

CW Hayden continued to grow as founder Win Hayden expanded his product offerings to keep up with changing customer and business needs. In the 1950s, he made a distribution arrangement with 3M and started carrying a line of tapes and abrasives.

In the 1970s, he added adhesive supplies before gradually building out the business to carry everything from sealants and safety equipment to hardware and fasteners.

Today, CW Hayden is one of only four distributors named to 3M's Platinum Partner program. Being a 3M Platinum Partner means that not only do we sell great products, we also provide the advice and training to help businesses get the most value as well. This is further evidence that our dedication to putting our customers' needs first delivers the best results.

A Family Tradition

Today, CW Hayden is run by the third generation of Haydens. They take great pride in continuing the work of their grandfather, Win Hayden. And to this day, they still carry the twine he first sold.

Hayden's vision of value-added service for customers put him way ahead of his time. Every member of the CW Hayden team takes pride in carrying on Hadyen's legacy that every customers' needs should come first.
