3M™ Particulate Respirator 8511, N95 is a disposable particulate respirator that is designed to help provide reliable respiratory protection of at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain non oil-based particles. This respirator is designed for use to help reduce exposure to certain airborne particulates such as coal, silica, iron ore, metal, wood, biological and certain other particles, and liquid or non-oil based particles from sprays that do not also emit oil aerosols or vapors. The respirator incorporates 3M’s proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. This respirator is compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection. This particulate respirator is NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved for environments containing certain non-oil based particles and provides at least 95 percent filter efficiency. Soft inner material provides added comfort while the cup-shape design makes the respirator spacious and durable. Braided headbands and an adjustable M noseclip helps provide a custom and secure seal. The respirator incorporates 3M’s proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. This respirator is compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection. Fitted with a 3M™ Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve, this respirator is suitable for physically demanding environments.
NIOSH Approved 3M™ Particulate Resirator 8511 with 3M™ Multi Use Duct Tape
1) Ensure the inside of the exhalation valve of the respirator is free from dirt and is undamaged. It is located on the inside of the respirator. Fig. 1
2) Cut tape to length of valve (approximately 41 mm) and attach tape to the inside of the exhalation valve, covering it completely. Fig 2.
